OC3PR: High-Consequence Pathogen Care and Outbreak Readiness (With a Focus on Viral Hemorrhagic Fever)

Please join us for the next OC3PR where we will discuss outbreak readiness and the care of patients with high-consequence pathogens, focusing on viral hemorrhagic fever, in the Canadian and global context.

Speakers:

  • Dr. Rob Fowler, Professor of Medicine, Department of Medicine and Inter-departmental Division of Critical Care Medicine, University of Toronto

After attending the webinar, attendees will be able to:

1.  Review viral hemorrhagic fevers, clinical presentations, and outcomes

2.  Review current supportive and specific treatments

3.  Review treatment unit considerations and outbreak readiness in Canadian and global contexts for viral hemorrhagic fever

**How to Attend**

  • Zoom Attendance: Tickets are first come first serve, to a max of 300 who can join the webinar via Zoom, where they will be able to participate in a facilitated question and answer session.
  • Livestream YouTube Attendance is Unlimited: The webinar will also be live streamed on CCSO’s YouTube channel. The recording will be available for viewing after the event on the CCSO YouTube Channel and the presentation will be available on the CCSO website.

We invite all multidisciplinary ICU teams to participate and ask that you please share this invite with your colleagues who are involved with critical care. To further share key learning points highlighted during each webinar, we encourage teams to schedule time to debrief and discuss how the information will inform or be incorporated into practices in your hospital.
